Obituary for Roy Webster Kidney

Roy Webster Kidney, 81, of Battle Creek, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019. He was born February 5, 1938 in Storms Crossing, OH the son of Roy Q. and Virgie (Hardesty) Kidney. Roy served in the U.S Navy. He married Delores Vescelius on March 4, 1967 in Battle Creek. Roy was an auto mechanic at area service stations and Hill Piston Co, retiring in 2002. He enjoyed watching Westerns, studying history, fishing, and golfing.
He is survived by his wife, Delores; step-daughters, Christina Mattson and Cynthia (Gary) Stofcheck; brothers, Lewis (Julia) Kidney and William D. (Dayle) Kidney; sisters, Sally (Les) Packham and Sue (Kenneth) Burdette; 4 step-grandchildren; 5 step-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jeffery; and sisters, Mary Dilling, Kathryn Burchard, and Julia Miller.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00-11:00 AM at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service with a memorial service to immediately follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held at a later date at Bedford Cemetery in Bedford Township, MI. In lieu of flowers memorial tributes may be made to the American Kidney Foundation or Food Bank of Southern Central MI. Arrangements by the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service.
