Obituary for
Michael Joseph Miller
Michael Joseph Miller, 54, of Battle Creek, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018. He was born March 21, 1964 in Dayton, OH the son of Joseph and Phyllis (Niekamp) Miller. Mike graduated from Gull Lake High School class of 1982. In Mike’s younger years he wrestled for Gull Lake and rode BMX bikes. He retired from DENSO Manufacturing after 24 years of service. Mike’s love for riding turned in to a passion that he would later instill and share with his son, Dakota. He and Dakota spent many years riding dirt bikes together. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his friends and family. Mike also had a love for old muscle cars and was especially proud of his 1967 Firebird. He was a kind soul with a big heart and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his children, Dakota Miller and Leslie Miller; mother, Phyllis; granddaughters, Alysiana and Ava Martinez; siblings, Sharon Merica, Greg Miller, Steve Miller, and Dave (Denna) Miller; 5 nieces; and 2 nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Joseph.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 4:00-8:00 PM at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday at 11:00 AM with a visitation an hour prior at 10:00 AM at the St. Jerome Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Christopher Ankley officiating. Burial will be at the East Hickory Cemetery in Barry Township, MI. Memorial tributes may be made to Battle Creek Motorcycle Club.
