Obituary for Betty Jane Ferguson (Roach)

Betty Jane Ferguson, 93, of Battle Creek, passed away Friday, March 16, 2018 at Calhoun County Medical Care Facility. She was born November 8, 1924 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Clarence Lee and Vernia Fern (Matchett) Roach. She married theee late Coulter M. Ferguson on May 7, 1966. Betty worked for Interbake Foods Ins. from April 1951 until retiring in April of 1987 as an oven worker. She had previously worked at American Bisquit Co., Weston Bisquit Co. and when younger for 9 yrs. for all the Butterfield Theaters (Strand, Post, Bijou, Regent and Michigan Theaters). Betty enjoyed traveling, fishing and gardening. She was a member of the Interbake Foods Local # 815 Union CIO.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Coulter; and her siblings.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM the Bachman Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jeff Davis of Overflow Church officiating. Burial will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Battle Creek, MI.
