Judith Elaine Whitney, 77, of Battle Creek, passed away Monday, February 12, 2018 at her home. She was born June 18, 1940 in Battle Creek, the daughter of William and Jennette Whalen, Sr. Judy married Stanley Whitney in August of 1967 in Battle Creek. She worked for Eaton Co. for 9 years before they closed and then worked for Kellogg Co. for 15 years before her retirement. She was a great cook and loved to cater to banquets, parties, and gatherings. She had a green thumb and put together the most beautiful floral arrangements. Judy was a very kind person and had a heart of gold.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley; son, Scott Whitney; brother, William Whalen, Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Debra Robinson; and sister, Catherine Campbell.
Visitation will be held Thursday at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service from 3:00-7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Friday at 12:00 PM at Bachman Hebble Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Battle Creek, MI. Memorial tributes may be made to Oaklawn Hospice.
