Norma M. Owen, age 79, of Battle Creek, died Tuesday April 4, 2017 at Bronson Battle Creek. Norma was born January 1, 1938 in Marshall, MI to Everett and Dorothy (Lutz) Corwin and was a 1955 graduate of Marshall High School. She married Robert Owen in 1974. Norma retired from the Kellogg Company in 1993 after 17 years of service. She was a Battle Creek Area Amateur Sports Association Hall of Fame member and an American Amateur Baseball Congress, Volunteer of the Year award winner. Norma enjoyed playing the piano, knitting, traveling, cross word puzzles, watching game shows, and was an avid reader. She is survived by her children, daughters, Marti (Michael) Darrow , of Onekama, MI, Rebecca Morrison of Battle Creek, a son, Randall Morrison of Salisbury, MD, stepsons, Bob (Debbie)Owen of East Lansing, John (Kathy) Owen of Battle Creek, and Terry Owen of Saginaw, a stepdaughter, Becky (Bernie) Squires of Battle Creek, 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, sisters, Shirley Sain of Battle Creek, and June (Tom) Hindenach of Marshall,MI. Norma was preceded in death by her parents. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Friday, at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service, 223 N. Bedford Rd.
