It has been a pleasure knowing you and your family, I have been cutting your hair since I started at the shop 10yrs ago. I always looked forward to you coming in and sharing with me how things were going with you. I will certainly miss that. I know one thing for certain no matter how bad things seemed to be going for me, so always had something possitive to say about it, and that always made my day. I can remember many times seeing you in passing at the bedford market, driving past the shop and always waving as your passed by. This is the kind of stuff I will miss for sure. I know I will always have the fond memories of you in the shop and our converstaions we had while you were in the chair, and that I will miss. I just want to say one more thing Rest in Peace my friend and you will be greatly missed by all including your barber!

I was Blessed to have known Mitch and spend time with him enjoying activities in the outdoors. He volunteered at our Disabled Veterans Hunt at Fort Custer every year he could and also, we spent a few days a year deer hunting with Mitch, Tim, Jake and Phil where he looked forward to my wife Ronda baking and bringing her cookies along. One of my best memories with Mitch is the time we spent together turkey hunting. After a couple of days of missed opportunities and unsuccessful attempts we were able to set up between two different groups of gobbling birds in the dark to try and entice a mature turkey in close enough for Mitch to shoot. Our excitment was growing as the birds gobbled back and forth with increasing intensity as daylight emerged. Mitch and I were sitting shoulder to shoulder and he was shaking from nervous excitment. I whispered directions to try and calm him as I thought for sure the turkeys would see him or his infectious smile right through his facemask! The turkeys east of us started flying down in the field to our right and Mitch was positioned for those birds to come close enough for a shot. As a mature tom was chasing the jakes around the field, Mitch asked about the shot and I assured him the tom would come closer as the hen decided to check out our decoy. At that moment three huge tom turkeys flew down to our left in range. Unkown to us, they were roosted in the same fence row we were in and had not made a sound! Immediately, Mitch wanted to move his gun to the left, but I whispered to stay still as I thought it was the best option. The three toms moved off into the woods taking the hen with them. The tom chasing the jakes noticed his hen leaving and came right by our decoy and stopped for a perfect shot. Mitch shot and promptly killed his first tom turkey! At the moment if it was possible I was more excited than Mitch. I am very proud to have known him and called him a friend. My prayers for all who were blessed enough to have known him.

I was fortunate to have met Mitch while working at ClydeUnion. I have never met anyone that went from just hired to one of the guys, it felt like he been there for years. His sweet personality and contagious smile made everyone's day. He was a special guy and was loved by many. May God comfort you and give you peace.

Mitch will always have a special place in my heart. I will always remember him yelling hey Crissy to me as I walked past his department at Clyde Union. I knew Mitch his whole life...I will miss his bright smile and hugs that he always gave me when he saw me. Story shared: The Cajun from the North

I was lucky enough to marry into this amazing family. Mitch came down to Cajun country, where I am from originially, to attend Lindsey and I's wedding festivites of August 2013. He was so excited to be down there and it was just so easy to see, that you couldn't help but to feel good just looking at him. The guy was completely in is element over 1,000 miles from his home.

You would not believe the impression he made on my family. Just about everyone who met him proceeded to regularly ask SPECIFICALLY about Mitch and how he was doing. Several of my family members can still recall specific conversations they had with him because he made such an impression. We all knew he would make it back down there one day to do some fishing with my dad, cooking with my Aunt, or shootin' the sh*t with my grandpa. He regularly shared his catch of the week with my dad via texts and visa versa.

One strong characteristic of being a Cajun is being very friendly (some like my wife would say "overly so") to strangers and new friends as if you had known them your whole life. Anyone who knew Mitch would agree he displayed this characteristic every day of his life.

I'm happy to have Mitch as an honorary Cajun. We all know we lost a very special part of our lives, but I choose to remember him for all he added to my family in a very small period of time.

When I started babysitting Mitch and Adam they became part of our family. All my daycare kids loved my "mac & cheese and peas, after the boys outgrew me, Mitch would ask what day is mac & cheese day and then sometimes he would drive over and have lunch with the daycare kids and I.
