It is with great sadness that the family of M. Evelyn Youmans announces the passing of our dear wife, mother, sister and grandmother on Friday, February 4, 2011 Evelyn passed away at her home in Augusta, MI surrounded by her family.

She was born January 24, 1933 in Charlevoix, MI the daughter of Charles Henry Bissell and Hazel A. Bissell.
Evelyn was a homemaker, mother and wife all of her life. She married Howard C. Youmans, Sr. on July 2, 1950 in Madison, Wisconsin.

She graduated from Charlevoix High School in 1949 and came to Battle Creek in 1952 from Charlevoix. She had cleaned houses for a lady for 25 yrs. on Gull Lake.
She was an avid member of Garage Sale Club and loved to eat chocolate. She enjoyed going to area casinos. She was a very quiet, proper and conservative lady. She was a good Mother to many children.

She is survived by her husband: Howard C. Youmans, Sr. of Augusta, MI; three daughters: Theresa M. & Ron Golyar of Augusta, MI; Barbara S. & David King of Delton, MI; Lorene K. & Terry Marlow of Delton, MI; four sons: Howard C. & Sandy Youmans of Plainwell, MI; Patrick L. & Janell Youmans of Marion, MI; Jeffrey W. Youmans (Sgt. US Army) of Iraq; Chad T. & Mindy Youmans of Huntington, IN; twenty two grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; two sisters: Gladys Jones of Three Oaks, IN; Marion Johnson of Boone, Kentucky; one brother: George Bissell of Traverse City, MI

She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter: Lois A. Robinson (Feb. 7, 1975), great grandson: Joshua David (March 15, 1981) and many brothers and sisters.

Visitation is planned for Sunday after 2 PM at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service where the family will be present from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Funeral services commemorating the life of M. Evelyn Youmans will be held Monday, February 7, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Bachman Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jeff Worden officiating. Burial will follow at the Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
