Theresia Johanna Maria Beckers, 91, of Battle Creek, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019. She was born April 15, 1927 in Amsterdam, Netherlands, the daughter of Gerardus and Johanna (Bastiansen) Beckers. Theresia was a nurse in the Netherlands for 4 plus years, before she and her late husband Gerardus Bos started a family. She moved to Michigan in 2002 from the Netherlands. Theresia was a faithful attendant of Calvary Chapel Battle Creek. Her hobbies included cross stitching, knitting, working jigsaw and crossword puzzles, reading, and playing video games. She was a very giving person, with a nurturing soul. She loved her family deeply and will be missed by all who knew and love her.
She is survived by her children, Francisca (Cees) Klep, Jan-Philip (Carla) Bos, Paul (Marie-Louise) Bos, Peter Bos, Marc Bos, Robert (Marie-Louise) Bos, Bernadette Bos, and Ludwien (Lee) Brazie; 21 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Paul Beckers; sisters, Theodora Beckers, Mitzi Beckers, and Calista Beckers; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerardus Bos; brother, Gerard Beckers; sisters, Gerda Beckers, Ans Beckers, and Ton Groll.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 25th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Calvary Chapel Battle Creek with the Funeral service to immediately follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Rick Gorham officiating. Burial will be at the Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens in Battle Creek, MI. Memorial tributes may be made to Alternatives of Battle Creek.
