Sherry Ann King, age 78, of Battle Creek, MI, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Bronson Battle Creek in Battle Creek, MI. She was born May 16, 1940 in Elkader, Iowa the daughter of Willy Kroll and Mary Ann (McCary) Kroll.

She was the executive secretary to the President at TransAmerica Insurance in Battle Creek for 25 years; she then worked in the human resources department for DMA Insurance Group until the present.

She is survived by her daughter - Shawn Marie Thallas of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.; significant other -- Reginald Grant of Springfield, MI; three sisters: Laderyl “Lonnie” Mary Berta of Arizona; Shari Lea Dietrich of Florida; D'Ann Gay Nussbaum of New Mexico; three nieces: Jamie, Jennifer, Jesentha and a nephew: Jeff.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

She was an avid reader, loved dogs especially Scottish Terriers, when she was younger she was an avid downhill skier, she liked fast cars and enjoyed dining out.

A Gathering of friends and relatives will be held at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place.
