Larry Dewight Burbank
Larry Dewight Burbank, 68, of Battle Creek, passed away with his family by his side Friday, November 2, 2018 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. He was born January 13, 1950 in Battle Creek, the son of Russell O. and Elizabeth (French) Burbank. Larry served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Sergeant from 1969-1973. He married Carol Morgan-Freudenburg on February 27, 1978 in Battle Creek. Larry owned and operated First Class Remodeling and Construction for 20 plus years and Burbank Investment Properties. He retired from MI Carton/Graphic Packaging after 38 years of service. Larry was very handy and could fix/build anything. He enjoyed hunting, bowling, playing pool, going to the casino and flea market. Larry loved traveling with Bob Angel and his Springfield Tavern family, Annie Clark, and his Jamaican family. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and his grandchildren. Larry was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the American Legion Post #298.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Burbank; children, Keri (Tim) Bruneel, Alicia Freudenburg-Barry, and Russell L. Burbank; granddaughters, Chelsea, Allyssa, Andrea, and Amber; grandsons, Christopher, Brookes, Joshua, Chase, Trevor, Austin, and Ian ; 6 great grandchildren; brothers: Jack and Gary Burbank; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; children, Eric Freudenburg, Richard Osborne, Jr., and Melissa Wentzel; and brothers, Norman, Ralph II, Bill, and Ben Burbank.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service. Burial will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Battle Creek, MI. Memorial tributes may be made to the Haven of Rest or Charitable Union.
