Theresa Adela Mayer
It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Theresa Adela Mayer, age 100, announces the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend on Friday, October 19, 2018 at The Oaks at Northpointe Woods in Battle Creek, MI.
She was born October 29, 1917 in Buffalo, NY. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (Filareck) Brzezicki, Sister of the late Eugene (Cecelia) Richard, Florence (Anthony) San George, Raymond (Rena) and Robert (Felicia) Brzezicki.

Mayer, Cherished mother of Jacqueline (Chuck) Davis, Loving grandmother of Christopher (Tresa) Davis and Jeffrey (Dawne) Davis, loving great grandmother of Olivia, Tully, Alexandra, Abigail, Brady, Analeigha, and great, great grandmother of Logan.
Her first job was scooping ice cream in an ice cream parlor in her hometown of Buffalo, New York. During World War II she was a welder in an airplane plant also in Buffalo. After living in Wheeling W.V., Birmingham Ala, Montgomery Ala, Chicago IL, and Dearborn, she and her family moved to Battle Creek. In Battle Creek she worked for K-Mart in lady's apparel, SS Kresge in the ribbon department; Diana Shop, Jacobson's and Sears in the ladies apparel. Her most favorite place was working for the Gallagher's Industrial Uniform until her retirement in 1979.
She is survived by daughter: Jacqueline S. & Chuck Davis of Battle Creek, MI; two grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Justin Mayer in 1984, three brothers: Eugene, Richard, Raymond Brzezicki and sister Florence San George
Visitation will be held at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service after 5 PM Thursday, October 25, 2018 where the family will be present from 5-7 PM. Funeral services will be held October 26, 2018, Friday, 10:30 AM in the Bachman Funeral Chapel with Reverend Father Christopher Ankley officiating. Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Battle Creek, MI. Memorial tributes may be made to: the Battle Creek Symphony, 450 North Avenue, Battle Creek, MI 49017.
