Lillian Fay Hargis, 78, of Battle Creek, passed away Monday, August 13, 2018 at The Oaks at Northpointe Woods. She was born June 23, 1940 in Crawford, TN the daughter of Huley and Nancy (Bowman) Fletcher. Lillian enjoyed watching court TV, listening to country music, sun bathing, and the holidays. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.
She is survived by her children, Nancy (Robert) Carr and Robbie (Candi) Hargis; grandchildren, Christina Carr, Nicole (Brian) Milo, Casey Hargis, and Courtney Hargis; and great grandchildren, Reilee Myers, Isabella Carr, Austin Momenee, and Abigail Milo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Michelle Faye Carr; great grandson, Connor Hargis; sisters, Lula (Bud) Matthews, Beatrice (Doyle) Looper, and Joanne Vaughn; infant brothers, Willie and Bluford Vaughn; brothers, Kenneth (Magdelyn) Vaughn and Herman (Reba) Vaughn.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Urbandale Baptist Church with the funeral service immediately following at 1:00 PM with Pastor Ronald Anderson officiating. Burial will be at the Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens in Battle Creek, MI. Memorial tributes may be made to Urbandale Baptist Church.
