Obituary for Jack Brummel

Eldon Jack Brummel passed away to the glory of heaven on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 after a week in Borgess Hospital surrounded by family and friends. A heart weakened by prior stroke and heart attack was the cause of death.
Jack leaves behind 2 loving daughters, Heidi Brummel and Tammi Brummel-Fee and son in law Tony Fee as well as 4 beloved grandchildren; Luke hassevoort and wife Jill, Leah Hassevoort and Hayden Fee.
Jack was born and raised in Hudsonville, MI to Elmer and Jacoba (Roelofs) Brummel. He was surrounded in his upbringing by a lively and loving family with 6 siblings; Rita, Dawn, Phil, Sandy, Gail and Dan. He graduated from Unity Christian High School and lived throughout West Mi for many years with his then wife Pam. Jack was a carpenter and his handiwork can be seen in many homes and businesses throughout West Mi.
He had a love of animals and had a passion for training dogs for pheasant hunting. In recent years his golden doodle, Sparty, was a true companion and accompanied him most places that he went. Around 2010 Jack moved to Battle Creek, MI and was blessed to develop a great group of loyal friends there.
He will be remembered for his wit and good natured teasing personality as well as his tender heartedness and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Jacks family will be honoring his life with a small memorial this Sunday and a celebration of life party to honor his, life of the party spirit, later in September. (Date TBD). Memorial donations may be made to Beautiful Gate Lesotho which is an orphanage in Africa that is near and dear to Jack and his families heart http://www.beautifulgatelesotho.org/lesotho-donate/
