Robert Bruce ""Bob"" Money
It is with a tremendous sadness that the family of Robert B. “Bob” Money age 68, announces the passing of our dear husband, son, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, cousin and friend on Thursday, June 14, 2018. After 2 years of courageously battling pancreatic cancer Bob passed away peacefully at the home of his daughter in Niles, MI surrounded by family.
Bob was born September 12, 1949 in Buchanan, MI the son of Carlton "Chris” Howard Money and Reba Maxine (Bright) Money. After graduating from Buchanan High School Bob enlisted in the U.S. Army. In 1970 he was Honorably Discharged from the U.S. Army and went to work for Clark Equipment Company in Buchanan, MI for 16 years. In 1988 Bob started his own business called Money Freight Services in Battle Creek, MI where he retired in 2001.
Bob enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle and most of all spending time with his family and friends. Bob was a lifetime member of the Centurion Motorcycle Club of Toledo, OH., the American Legion Post# 51 in Buchanan, MI, the Eagles Aerie# 4190 of TN, and the Moose Lodge# 2259 in FL.
Bob married the former Carol Ann Brummett-Miller on May 18, 1991 in Battle Creek, MI. Bob is survived by his wife Carol Ann Money of Battle Creek, MI; his mother Reba M. Money of Lawrence, MI; one son Robert C. & Michele Money of Yulee, FL; two daughters Lori Ann Money- Morlan of Granger, IN; Melissa Sue & Gregory Tomas of Niles MI; two brothers Larry & Barbara Money of Buchanan, MI; David & LeAnn Money of Lawrence, MI; seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
Bob was preceded in death by his father Carlton “Chris” Howard Money in 2000.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 10:30 until 11:30 AM, Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, in the Bachman Funeral Chapel with “The Preacher” Rev. John Bryce officiating. Burial with Military Honors provided by Staff Sergeant Michael Dickinson II American Legion Post # 257 will follow at the Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens in Emmett Township.
