Marilyn Ann Swan
Marilyn Ann Swan, 77, of Battle Creek, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018 at her home. She was born September 25, 1940 in Battle Creek, the daughter of William and Sarah (Moore) Miller. Marilyn married Elvin Swan on May 29, 1959 in Battle Creek. She drove the special education bus for Gull Lake school district for 30 years before her retirement. Marilyn enjoyed her family, flower gardening, crafts, bingo, collecting trinkets, and raising her cocker spaniels Kirby and Shadow. She had a great sense of humor and loved listening to all kinds of music.
She is survived by the love of her life her husband of 59 years, Elvin; children, Tammy (Mike) Tanksley, Randy (Roberta) Swan, and Kimberly (John) Pluymers; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; siblings, Gary (Pat) Miller and Barbara (Lonnie) Heuer; special niece and caretaker, Abbie Bishop; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and grandson, Rodger Swan.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 11, 2018 from 1:30-2:30 PM at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service with the service to follow at 2:30 PM with Pastor Jeffery Worden of Hickory Corners Bible Church officiating. Burial will be at the Bedford Cemetery in Bedford Township, MI. Memorial tributes may be made to the American Parkinson’s Disease Association.
