Obituary for Catharine Elizabeth Fisher

Catharine Elizabeth Fisher
Catharine Elizabeth Fisher was called home Feb. 22, 2018.
Catharine (affectionately known as Cat) was born Dec. 15, 1943, in Tiptonville, Tenn., and moved to Battle Creek, Mich., in 1950 with her parents and siblings. There she got her high school diploma from Battle Creek Central and attended the Page Street Original Church of God until she moved to Gary, Ind., in 1962.
Catharine returned to Michigan in 1976, settling in Kalamazoo. She attended Urbandale Original Church of God. She also began her career at General Motors during this time.
God placed Catharine in Pastor Richardson¹s care, from whom she ³learned to be a Godly woman.² While functioning in the positions of usher, missionary and performing other duties, Catharine was assigned the responsibility of Pastor¹s Aide President. Catharine was also blessed with the gift of hospitality and encouragement. This blessing allowed her to speak as the inspirational woman she was.
Catharine transferred to Flint, Mich., in 1997, through her job at General Motors. During that time, Catharine embarked upon another season of growth.
In 1999, she attended the Full Gospel Bible College, where she eventually received a Doctorate in Theology and was secretly ordained as a minister.
Catharine leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving and devoted son, Troy (Aspaceia) Fisher, of Detroit; four precious granddaughters, Kaliece
(LaNez) Nabors, Kaneka Moore, Morgan Fisher and Madison Fisher; three adorable great-grandsons, Trace, Ajamian and Lennox; siblings, James Fields, Lovie Blow, David (Ollie) Fisher, Marshall (Barbara) Fisher, Donald
(Barbara) Wilson, Deborah (Allen) Harris, Delbert Fisher and Richard Wilson; sister-in-law, Jacqueline Fisher; sister/cousins, Thelma Fisher and Elizabeth Dames; and a host of nieces. nephews, cousins and special friends.
Visitation is Friday, March 2, 2018, at Bachman Hebble Funeral Home, from
6-8 p.m. A homegoing service will be at noon, Saturday, March 3, at Maranatha Original Church of God, 400 Waubascon Road. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Battle Creek.
