Connie Darline Rugg, 53, of Battle Creek, passed away suddenly Wednesday, January 17, 2018. She was born March 18, 1964 to William Herbert and Dortha Mae (Pendergrast) Reel. She was a resident of Bellevue, MI for more than 20 years, but most recently resided in Battle Creek. Connie worked for more than 20 years at Gallagher Uniform, where she was a team leader. She made many close friends in her time there. She most recently worked at TRMI. She had a host of friends and family that she would do anything for -she enjoyed doing what she could to help someone out, and she loved fiercely! Her favorite pastimes were spending time with her grandchildren, cooking and shopping. She was endearingly referred to as “Grandma Kohls’ by her grandkids. She always made sure at family gatherings that each had their favorite dishes!
She is survived by her sons, Jason (Jennifer) Reel, and Gordon Stine; a brother Marvin (Marise) Reel; a sister-in-law Katrinka (Dean) Reel; grandchildren Anna and Oliver Reel; a nephew Jeremy (Angela) Reel and a niece Hannah (Josh) Brown; special friend Russ Rugg and his children Sara and RJ; and many family members in Tennessee as well.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother William Dean Reel.
Services will be held Friday, January 26 at 6:00 pm at the Robin’s Nest (16181 10 Mile Rd, Battle Creek)
