M. Dale Schuster, 89, of Battle Creek, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Glenn Arbor Hospice. She was born September 23, 1928 in Markland, IN the daughter of Joseph and Minnie (Schievelbein) Hazeldean. Dale married the late JV Hill in 1946 and 3 sons were born to that union; Michael, Steven, and Robert. In 1972 Dale married the late Woodrow Schuster and he passed away in 1980. Dale was a 1945 graduate of Vevay High School in Vevay, IN and attended Indianapolis Business College. She was an instructor at the Argubright Business College and retired from the City of Battle Creek as an Administrative Assistant to the City Manager. She had worked as Executive Secretary to many city managers and mayors until her retirement in 1986. Dale was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed music, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Michael (Carolyn) Hill, Steven (Helen) Hill, and Robert (Marietta) Hill; 9 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, JV; second husband, Woodrow; siblings, Evelyn Felker and Eldric Hazeldean; two granddaughters; and one great grandson.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 21st from 4:00-6:00 PM at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service. Funeral services will be held Monday at 12:00 PM at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service. Burial will be at the Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta. Memorial tributes may be made to Calvary Baptist Church or In Touch Ministries.
