Obituary for Clyde Raymond Wallace






Clyde Raymond Wallace, age 80, of Assyria, died Monday January 8th 2018 in Grand Rapids. Clyde was born April 19, 1937 in Pennfield Township, Michigan to Winfield and Mary (Duncan) Wallace. He attended Pennfield Schools up to the 8th grade and then the Battle Creek Schools, graduating from Battle Creek Central High School in 1955. Clyde met the love of his life, the former Nancy Davis, they married, February 6th 1959 at the Bellevue Methodist Church and resided in Assyria. Nancy passed away July 29th, 2003. Clyde had worked with the Electrical Workers Union apprenticeship and had been employed by the Motor Shop Electrical Co. as an electrician until his retirement in 1992. Clyde was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, lodge 153, and attended the Pleasantview Family Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and his favorite time was spent watching his grandchildren’s sporting events. Clyde is survived by his daughter, Tina (Tom) Parsons, of Bellevue, sons, Randy Wallace and Kenneth (Sindi Lashley) Wallace, both of Bellevue, and Danny (DeAnna) Wallace of Battle Creek, 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, a sister, Gladys DeVos of Florida. Clyde was preceded in death by his wife Nancy, his parents and a brother, Eugene Wallace. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, January 12th at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service, 223 N. Bedford Rd. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at the Pleasantview Family Church, 2601 Lacey Rd. Delton. Memorials may be given to the Pleasantview Family Church.
