Obituary for Betty Katherine Beutler (Wegner)

Betty Katherine Beutler (Wegner)
Betty Katherine Beutler, 95, of Tampa, FL, formerly of Battle Creek, Michigan passed away peacefully Thursday, October 12, 2017 in Tampa, Florida. She was born September 12, 1922 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Carl and Lucille (Kaufman) Wenger. Betty married the love of her life her devoted husband, Herbert Beutler on June 22, 1940. Betty, Wife, Mother, Aunt Betty, Grandma, Friend whatever name you knew her by, love was what you always got back in return. She liked to laugh, have fun, and get into trouble, especially with her sister Barbara. She lived in many places in her life, but always made the best of things and created a home for everyone. While raising her daughters she taught them to love, laugh, and to be a good mother also. She gave them a pathway to grow up and choose worthy men for their soul mates. “Through thick and thin you make the best of life with much patients and love.” Let us not forget the days of the stock car races, go #26! When living in Battle Creek she was a member of the Urbandale Baptist Church, the local PTA, BSA, and many other organizations. Betty passed her love of cooking onto her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Catherine and James Leeper, Carolyn and James Doty, Aaron Beutler and Richard Brown, and Carl and April Beutler; grandchildren, Herbert, Melinda, Toshia, Richard, Mary, Clarence, Dustin and Joseph; and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herbert; sisters, Barbara Chupp and Elizabeth White; grandson, Benjamin Doty; nephew Howard Chupp; and aunts, uncles, and many close friends.
Visitation will be held at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service on Friday, October 20th from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM with family present. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 21st at 11:00 AM at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service with Betty’s niece the Reverend Terry Sue Williford officiating. Burial will be at the Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens in Battle Creek, immediately following the services. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Charitable Union in Battle Creek.
