Sandra Kay Conklin, age 73, of Battle Creek, died Thursday October 5, 2017 at her home. Sandra was born January 3, 1944 in Battle Creek, to James and Vesta (Devine) Hill and was a lifelong resident of the area. Sandra attended Battle Creek Schools and was graduate of Battle Creek Central High School in 1962. She had retired from the Kellogg Company after 25 years of service. Sandra was a past member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed playing golf, pinochle, “double down” and visiting the casino. Sandra is survived by her daughter, Lynn (Christopher) Smith, of Grand Ledge, a son, Douglas (Sheri) Conklin of Battle Creek, grandchildren, Michael (Emily) Conklin, Shannon Smith, Kasie Conklin, Shelbie Smith and a great granddaughter, Emma Conklin. Sandra was preceded in death by her significant other, Charles Peet, a sister JoAnn Haynes, and her ex-husband Daniel Conklin.
