Russell Lee Wagner Jr. age 48, of Battle Creek, died Wednesday August 9th 2017 at Bronson Battle Creek. Russ was born June 5, 1969, in Battle Creek to Russell L. and Patricia A. (Roose) Wagner and was a lifelong resident. Russ attended Battle Creek School and had worked as a care giver for the State of Michigan and the Johnson Controls Co. Russ was a great cat lover and rescued many cats over the years. He enjoyed fishing and was avid sports fan. Russ is survived by his mother, Patricia Ann Hancock of Battle Creek, his father and stepmother, Russell L. (Kathlene) Wagner, of Battle Creek, a brother, Frank Wagner of Battle Creek, sisters, Russtina Bizwell of Butler, IN, and Miranda (Philip) Schuman of Corunna, IN, and a large and loving extended family. The family will receive friends, Saturday, August 19th, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service, 223 N. Bedford Rd. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Froggy’s Pond at the Turner Veterinarian Clinic, or Companion Cats.
