Barbara L. Repack, 91, of Battle Creek, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Lakeview Assisted Living. She was born March 4, 1926 in Marshall, MI the daughter of Howard and Helen (Parks) Shutt. Barb graduated from Battle Creek Central class of 1944. She worked as a waitress and hostess at a restaurant in the Holiday Inn. Barb married the late Steven Repack on October 16, 1948 in Battle Creek. Barb was a volunteer at Leila Hospital, a past President of St. Mary’s Sisterhood, and was a member of the Red Hats Society. Steve and Barb loved vacationing in Florida and taking their grandchildren camping around Michigan. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and tending to her vegetable gardens. Barb and Steve were founding members of St. Elias Eastern Orthodox Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Jonathan) Rambow; son-in-law, Rudolph Yost; sister, Jean Pruitt; grandsons, Sean Rambow, Nicholas (Bobbie Jo) Rambow, and Anthony Yost; and great grandchildren, Ellery and Bishop Rambow.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Steve; and daughter, Judith Yost.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 4:00-7:00 PM with a Panikhida service to begin at 7:00 PM at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 AM at St. Elias Eastern Orthodox Church. Burial will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Battle Creek, MI. Memorial tributes may be made to St. Elias Eastern Orthodox Church.
