Maryalice M. Ward, age 89, of Springfield , died Thursday June 15, 2017 at Bronson Battle Creek. Maryalice was born March 9, 1928 in Battle Creek, to Charles and Gladys (Case) Bailey and has been a lifelong resident. Maryalice attended Lakeview Schools and had worked at the former Bijou Theatre and the Holiday Inn. Maryalice enjoyed working word puzzles and camping on summer weekends at the Shady Bend Campground in Augusta. She is survived by her brother, Charles M. Bailey Sr., of Battle Creek, a neices, Linda (Danny) Kissinger, Pam (Rick) Dakesian, Charlene (Bob)Buckley, Brenda (Rueben) Palomo, nephews, Charles M.(Karyl) Bailey, Jr. , Luman Bailey Jr. , Jeff Bailey, Greg (Sherry) Burke , and two grandsons, Jeff and Greg Ward. Maryalice was preceded in death by her husband George E. Ward, a son, George Ward, Jr., daughter, Diane Gleaves. Graveside funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday at the Beckley Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the charity of ones choice. Arrangements are by the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service.
