Doris Carol Rush, 64, of Battle Creek, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Evergreen Senior Care. She was born October 10, 1952 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Arthur and Gladys (Ellis) Wetherill. Doris loved her grandchildren and spent any time she could with them. She enjoyed baking, canning, arts and crafts, and gardening. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Tabatha) Lind; step-daughter, Kristen (Lloyd) DeVera; grandchildren, Anntaya, Makayla, Clara, Brandon and Trent; brothers, Arthur, Larry (Marsha), Rick (Lena), Michael (Sandy), and Garry Wetherill; sisters, Ruth Alagia and Kathy Allen; sister-in-law, Donna Hoffman; niece, Lori (Margarito) Tacubeno; and her former husband, James Rush.
She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Chyanne Lind; and brothers, Charles, Steve, and Harold Hoffman; and her first husband, Mike Lind.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, June 30, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Fraternal Order of Eagles located at 19757 Capital Ave NE.
