Lenord D. Ramsey, age 69, of Battle Creek, died Thursday May 4, 2017, at Bronson Battle Creek. Lenord was born January 25, 1948 in Livingston, TN to Malcus and Bessie (Carr) Ramsey. Lenord was a 1968 graduate of Springfield High School and had been employed by the the former Community Hospital , Danny Strohm Auto Service and several other service stations in Battle Creek. Lenord enjoyed working on cars and attending car shows. He was a member of the Level Park Baptist Church and the Bedford Masonic Lodge #207 F&AM and the Order of the Eastern Star #471. Lenord is survived by his daughters Dorothy M Ramsey of Battle Creek, Rose Ann (Todd) King, of Gerard, MI, a brother Carlos (Joyce) Ramsey of Battle Creek, his sister, Norma Carr, of Battle Creek, grandchildren, Izaac and Jade Smith, Emily and Gavin O’Brien, and April and Jaison King, and his former wife, Carol Ryan of Battle Creek. Lenord was preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service, 223 N. Bedford Rd. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Bedford Masonic Lodge or the American Heart Association.
