Raymond Jay Davis, age 54, of Battle Creek, died Saturday April 22, 2017 at his home. Ray was born July 31, 1962 in Battle Creek, to Lloyd W. and Nila J. (Linley) Davis. Ray attended Bellevue Schools and had been employed for 30 years at Graphic Packaging Co. retiring in 2015 due to ill health. Ray enjoyed working on cars, fishing, shooting pool, riding motorcycles and was quick to be a help other using his bobcat to help with projects. He had many good friends. Ray had served as an officer for his local Teamsters Union 705. He is survived by his wife, Teresa ( Wilkey ) Davis, a son, Nathan Davis of Battle Creek, a daughter, Harlee Davis of Battle Creek, brothers, Don Norris of California, Dan Norris of Battle Creek, and Lloyd Davis of Athens, Mi, and a sister, LaBarbara (Gary) Phillips, of Bellevue. Ray was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Laura Navarro. Private family services will be held. Memorials may be given to the Calhoun County Animal Shelter.
