Obituary for Jeffrey Alan "Jeff" Vandenboss

Jeffrey Alan Vandenboss, 62, of Dowling, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2017 at his home. He was born November 28, 1954 in Fort Walton Beach, FL the son of Everett and Marilyn (Tacoma) Vandenboss. Jeff graduated from Climax High School, class of 1972. He served in the US Air Force as a Nuclear Weapons Specialist. Jeff received his Master's Degree from Western Michigan University. He married Patricia Vise on December 31, 1990 in Battle Creek. Jeff retired in 2009 from the Battle Creek Federal Center with 25 plus years of service. He enjoyed restoring tractors, going to tractor shows, and was the Vice President of the Scotts Tractor Club. Jeff was an outdoors-man; spending time at his cabin, golfing, snowmobiling, and shooting guns. He was a kind soul and was always there to lend a helping hand. Jeff’s greatest joy was spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; parents, Everett and Marilyn; children, Michelle Vandenboss, Scott Vandenboss, Chad Daws, and Teri Daws; siblings, Joy (Dale) VanHaitsma, Scott (Karen) Vandenboss, Sara (David) Drallette, and Betsee (Joe) Thompson; grandchildren, Trenton and Gabriella Bonilla, and Christian and Gionni Daws; and his dogs, Tucker and Toby.
Visitation will be held Friday from 2:00-3:00 PM at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service with the memorial service to follow at 3:00 PM with Bishop Michael Powell officiating. A private family burial will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
