William Franklin Scutt Sr.
William F. Scutt Sr., age 79, of Battle Creek died Wednesday November 2, 2016 at his home. Bill was born January 22, 1937 in Eaton Rapids, to Alfred and Olive (McNinch) Scutt. Bill served in the Michigan National Guard from 1959 to 1961. He received his Bachelor of Science in Applied Sciences, from Sienna College. Bill had owned and operated his own painting company and Bill’s Appliances in Coldwater, and the Michigan State Police , prior to being employed by the Branch County School System as an IT technician, until his retirement in 2006. After his retirement, Bill worked as a courier and custodian for the United Educational Credit Union. Bill had attended Bible College and was an ordained Baptist Minister. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church. Bill was very curious about the world and had many interest. He was a licensed pilot and flew his own aircraft and loved to travel. Bill loved playing the banjo and had recently “sat in” with a local Blue Grass Band. Bill loved people and easily made friends. He was always working on projects or learning about all the things around him. Bill is survived by his daughter, Cindy J. Tremblay of Union City, a son William F. (Sherry) Scutt Jr. of Fort Worth, TX. Grandchildren, Jonathon Scutt, Samantha Wilson and Joshua Tremblay, and Four great grandchildren, a sister Leona Swan of Texas and his best friend Dennis Sargent, Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
