Yvonne A. McNees, age 77, of Battle Creek, died Sunday October 2, 2016 at her home surrounded by family. Yvonne was born January 10, 1939 in Lake Odessa, Michigan to Lynn and Sarah (Page) Griffin. She had attended the Caine’s Burlington School and Marshall Schools. She married Robert D. McNees on August 16th, 1958. Yvonne had worked at Dillon’s Nursing Home, Cliff St. Grocery and Club 27, but enjoyed being a homemaker most of all. She attended First Wesleyan Church, enjoyed CB radios, studying genealogy, croqueting, and spending time with her family. Yvonne is survived by her husband, Robert, a daughter, Cindy (Richard) Adams, of Carthage, Missouri, sons, Gary (Stephanie) McNees, Clifton (Vena) McNees, and James (Cheryl Paul) McNees, all of Battle Creek, 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, brothers, Peter (Nancy) Griffin of Factoryville, MI, David L. Griffin, of Tomah, WI, and Jack (Lynette) Griffin, of Cataract, WI, sisters, Diana (Paul) Daddona of Spring Hill, FL, and Maria (Wendell) Hagg, of Lake Placid, FL. Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Robert McNees in 2014, twin great grandchildren Taylor and Tyler Murray, a brother, James Griffin, a sister, Janet Jones, and a brother-in-law, Larry Eishen. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service, 223 N. Bedford Rd. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at the funeral home.
