Eugene Keith Lemon, 87, of Battle Creek, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at The Oaks at Northpointe Woods in Battle Creek. He was born July 1, 1929 in Pontiac, MI the son of Charles and Lucille (Humphreys) Lemon. Eugene served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He married the late Nancy Whitford on June 12, 1954 in Pontiac, MI. Eugene worked at Eaton Corporation for 25 plus years before his retirement. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a previous member of the Society of Automotive Engineers. Eugene loved working on cars and assembling tube amplifiers for guitars. He had a “knack” for automobiles and electronics.
He is survived by his children, Michael (Jean) Lemon, Patricia (Michael) Loyd, Katherine Lemon, Dave Lemon, and Timothy (Melissa) Lemon; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and his sister, Sister Janet Lemon, IHM.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nancy; twin grandchildren, Colt and Maegan Lemon; grandson, Patrick Lemon; and brothers, Duane and Ron Lemon.
