Beatrice L. Davis, age 94, of Hickory Corners, died Tuesday September 20, 2016 at Battle Creek Manor. Beatrice was born April 14, 1922 in Assyria Center, Michigan to Harry and Mary (Squires) Russell and has been a lifelong resident of the area. She had worked at the former Leila Hospital as a young woman but enjoyed being a homemaker. Beatrice was involved in 4H as a sewing instructor. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, and needlework. Beatrice was an active member of the Assyria Gospel Church, now known as the Heritage Hills Bible Church; she was a Sunday school teacher and was involved in the churches Bible School and mission work. She currently has been attending the Pleasantview Family Church. Beatrice is survived by her daughter, Elaine Collins of Augusta, GA, sons, Duane (SueAnn) Davis, of Hickory Corners, Ronald (Kay) Davis, of Battle Creek, Timothy (Tamber) Davis of Mt. Gilead, OH, and Danny Davis of Battle Creek, seven grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Davis in 1982, an infant daughter, Sharon Marlene Davis, sisters, Gladys Vaughn, Marion Huntington, and Mildred Sabin, brothers, Sheldon Russell and Allen Coulter, a sister in law, Mary Coulter. The family will receive friends from 5:00PM to 7:00PM Thursday at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service, 223 N. Bedford Rd. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday September 23, 2016, at the Pleasantview Family Church, 2601 Lacey Rd. Dowling, Michigan 49050.
