Obituary for Betty Jean Dunn

Betty Jean Dunn, 73, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Evergreen Senior Care and Rehab Center. She was born September 17, 1942 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Ray and Gladys (VanPatten) Dunn.
At last I have been set free from the wheelchair that has always carried me. For so long I have wanted to dance and I have finally gotten my chance. Oh, but not alone was I, for Jesus met me in the sky. I'm now with Him, Mom and Dad so please don't cry or feel sad. Everything I have ever dreamed of has finally come true. There is just one more that we're waiting for and that is you.
She is survived by her brothers, Gerald (Natalie) Dunn, Steven (Pamela) Dunn, and Michael (Vickie) Dunn; many nieces and nephews; and special cousins, Peggy (Stephen) Osborn.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Kenneth Dunn.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM with Pastor Lester DeGroot of Nashville Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at the Banfield Cemetery in Johnstown Twp., MI. Memorial tributes may be made to American Diabetes Association or Grace Hospice.
