Obituary for
Trishia Ann Brown
It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Trishia Ann (Baker) Brown, age 40, of Battle Creek, MI, announces the untimely death of our mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in Battle Creek, MI.
She was born December 29, 1975 in Kalamazoo, MI the daughter of Gerald David Baker and Mary Jo (Hamilton) Baker.
Trish came from the state of Wyoming and Idaho to Battle Creek in 1989 and had attended St. Philip Catholic Central High School. She lovingly cared for her disabled uncle (John Baker) and for her niece and nephews: Cameron Mc Cullough, Cole Mc Cullough, Chase Mc Cullough, Briehnanna and Matthew O’Brien. She had been a member of the Battle Creek Jaycees; serving on many boards and involved in community events. She was named Jaycee Of the Year for 1998 and 1999. She loved cooking, especially loved her pet dogs, and relished the time she spent with her family, children, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is survived by: her parents: Mary Jo and Patrick M. O’Connell of Battle Creek; two sons: Brandon Brown of Grand Rapids, MI and Taylor Brown of Battle Creek; a daughter: Brittanie Guevara of Battle Creek, MI; two brothers: Chad & Megan Mc Cullough of Battle Creek, MI; Gerald David Baker II of Comstock, MI; five sisters: Crystal & Rod Cope of Olivet, MI; Lacy Baker and Lisa Jo Baker and Nicole Hayward all of Comstock, MI; and Rachael of Kalamazoo; special friends: Bernard "Bernie" Larner of Battle Creek, MI and Cathy Fauver of Battle Creek, MI; and many special nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Trishia was preceded in death by her father: Gerald David Baker (June 2015); her brother: Christopher David Baker at age 5 (April 1983); grandparents: Patricia Blanchard (Dillon); Ronald Albert Blanchard; Dale Hamilton, Jr.; John & Nancy O’Connell; and Arthur & Ann Baker.
Visitation will be held at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service after 5:00 PM Monday, August 15, 2016 where the family will be present from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM and then the Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Deacon Jeff Hanley officiating. Funeral Mass will be in the Bachman Funeral Chapel at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 with Rev. Father Simon Manjooran officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home and cremation will be conducted later. Memorial tributes may be made to: BC Area Catholic School Foundation or the Calhoun County Animal Shelter.
