James A. Quinn, age 55, of Battle Creek, died Wednesday May 18, 2016 at his home. Jim was born February 14, 1961 in Sacramento, California to Terry and Charlotte (O’Dwyer) Quinn and came to Battle Creek in 1963. Jim was a 1979 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. Jim was a very hard worker and had been employed by Hi-Lex of America Co. for 27 years, retiring due to illness. Jim enjoyed playing guitar and was a videographer; he filmed Rock and Country bands. He also enjoyed movies and spending time with his family. Jim is survived by his daughter, Caitlin Quinn of Battle Creek, a sister Kelly (Jay) Darling of Battle Creek, a brother Patrick M. Quinn of Dearborn Heights, MI and his best friend Bill Lirones. Jim was preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive friends for a memorial gathering Saturday, May 21st, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service, 223 N. Bedford Rd.
