Ida “Sue” Davidson, age 72, of Pennfield Township, died Friday April 8, 2016 at her home. Ida was born June 27, 1943 in Battle Creek, to Peter and Layla (Sheneman) Ebert, and has been a lifelong resident. Ida attended Pennfield schools. She married Gerald Davidson on May 14, 1962. Ida was a great homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her home and family, she enjoyed gardening and yard work. Ida and Gerald were long time members of the Cereal City Street Rod Association. She is survived by her daughters, Ida Sue Davidson and Michelle Mellinger, both of Battle Creek, sons Gerald Davidson Jr. and Jeffrey (Sarah Axley) Davidson, both of Assyria, a grandson, Lucas Mellinger , a sister, Joan Massimino, of Battle Creek. Ida was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gerald, a brother, Carl Ebert, a grandson, Daniel Davidson. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service, 223 N. Bedford Rd. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
