Eva Denise King, age 73, of Battle Creek, died Wednesday August 26, 2015 at the home of her son in Schoolcraft. Eva was born May 22, 1942 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to Jimmie and Bertha Lee (Windham) Holder and came to Battle Creek as a child. Eva was a graduate of Battle Creek Central High School and had been employed by the V.C Squire Co. and Sears for many years. Eva enjoyed quilting and was a member of quilting club, she also enjoyed traveling. Eva’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. Eva is survived by her sons, Vinson James King of San Antonio, TX and Brian Patrick John (Karen Denise) King of Schoolcraft, grandchildren, Travis John Andre’ (Lauren) King, Brian Patrick John King II, Brittnee Denise King and Tiara Monet’ King, and her great grandson, Alijah Jerroe King, sisters, Jeannie (Ben) Hutchins of Portage and Louise Marshall of Battle Creek. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, September 3, 2015 at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service, 223 N. Bedford Rd.
