Tamesha Merie Fisher-Hodges-Taylor, age 35, of Battle Creek, died Thursday August 27, 2015 at her home. Tamesha was born February 11, 1980 in Battle Creek, to Lenny H. Hodges and Karon T. Taylor and had been a lifelong resident of Battle Creek, except for a few years in Atlanta, GA. Tamesha was a 1998 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School and held Associate degrees in science and business administration from Kellogg Community College. Tamesha had been employed by the Georgia Spice Co. and the admission departments at Kellogg Community College and currently at Kalamazoo College. Tamesha was an activist involved in many social issues. She enjoyed fashion and doing hair and nails, as well as fishing with her family on many area lakes. Tamesha is survived by her son, Areeon L. McClinton, at home, life partner, LaShawn McClinton, her mother, Karon T. Taylor of Battle Creek, a special mom, Betty McClinton, of Battle Creek, paternal grandmother, Mary A. Fisher-Hodges, of Battle Creek, step sisters, Latika Ross of California, and Ashley Ross of New Jersey , her aunts, Patty Pointer, of Battle Creek, and Delphia Brewington, of Joliet, IL uncles, Eddie (Annette) Hodges of Kalamazoo, T. Kevin Hodges of Vallejo, California, Stephen (Keenya) Hodges of Battle Creek, Howard (Anita) Hinton of Detroit, and Harry (Nita) Weston of Battle Creek., and a host of relatives and friends,. Tamesha is preceded in death by a son, Arrion K. McClinton, a daughter, Areonna McClinton, her father, Lenny H. Hodges, step father , Mark T. Shavers, maternal grandparents, Kent and Myrt (Andrews) Taylor, paternal grandfather, James H. Hodges, and a uncle, Jerome J. Hodges. The family will receive friends this Friday, September 4th from 5:00PM to 7:00 PM at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service, 223 N. Bedford Rd.
