Obituary for Nancy Ann Orr (Hayes)

Nancy Ann Orr, 63, of Battle Creek passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence. She was born October 30, 1950 the daughter of Charles and Virginia (La Forge) Hayes. Nancy married the late Dean Orr on June 30, 1968 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Bellevue. Nancy enjoyed camping, fishing, crocheting, and watching the Food Network. She loved to entertain and cook, especially for family gatherings. She liked going for joy rides with her husband out in to the country. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Virginia (Michael McGhee) Orr and Patricia Mathies; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; brothers, Charles (Terri) Hayes, Gerald (Sue) Hayes, Philip (Catherine) Hayes, Rex (Sundae) Hayes, Keith Hayes and Raymond (Cynthia) Hayes; sister-in-law, Christine Hayes; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dean Orr in 1995; husband, Gail Collins in 2011; son, Robert Orr; and brothers, brothers David, Frank and Robert Hayes.
Memorial services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service with Fr. Francis Marotti of St. Phillip Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be at the Bedford Cemetery in Bedford Township, MI. Memorial tributes may be made to Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence or American Cancer Society.
