Robert “Bob” Ziegler, 91, of Battle Creek, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Beadle Lake AFC Home. He was born April 29, 1921 in Battle Creek, MI the son of Herbert and H. Lucille (Greenfield) Ziegler. He married the late Beatrice Austin on March 22, 1947. He served in the U.S. Army/Air Corp. during World War II. He retired from Clark Equipment in 1982, after 32 years of service. Bob was a Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed watching sports. He liked fishing and bowling.
He is survived by his children, Stephanie (Michael) Davis, Stephen (Angela) Ziegler, Robin (Kirk) Dillery; grandchildren, Matthew, Kristi, Jennifer, Chelcie, and Danielle; and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Bea Ziegler.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 1:00-4:00 PM at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 AM at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service with Pastor Dennis Ouellette officiating. Burial will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Battle Creek, MI. Memorial tributes may be made to Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence.
